Redmen Review

The Sisseton Knowledge Bowl team participated in their first competition on Wednesday, January 7th at Concordia College. The JV team of Liliana, Corbyn, Grayson, and Wylder placed 6th overall while the two Varsity teams placed 9th and 10th. It was a great way to kick off the season! The Knowledge Bowl team and their coach, Mrs. Nordquist, will be on the road twice more in the month of January as two JV teams will travel to WCA on the 19th and all the teams will travel to Fergus Falls on the 28th. Best of Luck!

Homework Help resumed on Thursday, January 8th. A reminder that Homework Help takes place in the HS Library and runs until 5pm each week.

Students in Mrs. Goodhart's Geometry and Algebra II classes have started out the semester strong. Pictured above are Kester, Gabe, and Justin in Algebra II, getting a little extra help as they learn about inverse variations and the reciprocal function as they start out semester two. Meanwhile, in geometry class, students, including Derrick and Sparrow (pictured at right) have begun using compasses and rulers to create perpendicular bisectors.

Freshman students are excited to make the semester switch from the classroom for Health, to the gym for P.E. They've started off the week with a variety of ways to be active including volleyball, dodgeball, basketball, and badmiton. Getting their heart rates up, improving hand-eye coordination, and working with others are all great parts of this schedule change.

Mrs. Gregg's Photography class students were out and about on Thursday working on an assignment titled: "The best camera to have is the one that is with you." Since students are seldom without their cell phones, they were tasked with creating interesting pictures using different subjects, settings, and angles. Pictured is Kayana, working on taking the perfect photograph.
