School Hours: 8:00 AM- 3:15 PM
School will release at 3 PM: August 3rd, 4th, and 5th (first 3 days of school).
Student Arrival: Doors open each day at 8:00 AM. Students will report to their grade level hallway or cafeteria upon arrival. Students arriving to school after 8:40 AM are counted tardy.
Safety for Entry: Car riders may only be dropped off in the car rider line. Adults will be stationed to open car doors from 8:00-8:40 AM. Please have your child ready to exit the car with his or her belongings in hand.
If an adult needs to walk in for any reason, the vehicle should be parked, and the student escorted all the way to the building only crossing at the crosswalk.
Afternoon Dismissal: Car rider signs were available at Open House. Anyone picking up a child in the car rider line must have a school issued car rider sign. If no sign is present, the adult will be asked to park, visit the office, and show ID before a child will be released for the day. We are unable to accommodate requests for student checkouts after 2:30 PM.

Flagpole/walkers: This option is only for students who will be walking home with an adult, Pre-K students & their siblings. The line will start at the hallway near the flagpole.
Transportation Changes: All transportation changes have to be completed on the form below. This form can be found on the Sharon Website (www.walton.k12.ga.us/sharonelementary_home.aspx). Phone calls, emails, and written will not be accepted. You will be directed to use this form.
Medication: If a child needs to take medication while at school, please bring it to the clinic in the original container. Nurse Chesney will officially start August 10th, chesney.conant@walton.k12.ga.us and will be happy to help you. We will have a sub nurse for the first week of school. If your child has food allergies, please be sure to alert the teacher, our school nurse, and the cafeteria manager.
