Deadline to Order Signed Copies of Kelly DiPucchio’s Deadline to Order Signed Copies of Kelly DiPucchio’s

Books Extended Through Saturday March 14th! Books Extended Through Saturday March 14th!

We are excited to share that Hornung will be welcoming Kelly DiPucchio, the author of more than 30 popular children’s books, for a special visit on March 27! This wonderful opportunity is made possible by the generous support of our PTO, funded through your Read-A-Thon pledges.

Many of our students are already familiar with her stories, including Gaston, Clink, The Sandwich Swap, and Super Manny Stands Up!. Students have been enjoying her books during library time this week and are getting excited to meet the author behind these favorites.

Families also have the opportunity to order books that will be personally signed by Kelly DiPucchio during her visit. If you would like to purchase a signed copy for your child, orders can be placed through 2 Dandelions Bookshop.

You can place orders online here:
http://www.2dandelionsbookshop.com/dipucchio

Order Deadline has been extended through Saturday, March 14

We are thrilled to bring this special experience to our students as part of March Is Reading Month, and we look forward to a memorable day celebrating books and reading.

Parent Connect has a quick and easy way to report your child's absence.

  • Log into Parent Connect
  • If you have more than one child, select the student who will be absent.
  • Click Report Absence on the top right corner.
  • Enter the date(s) of the absence.
  • If your child will be gone all day, check the All Day box so it applies to both morning and afternoon. Or, if your child will only miss part of the day, enter the specific times.
  • Finally select a Reason and make sure to include in the Notes why your child will be absent (illness, doctor visit, vacation etc.) If your child has been diagnosed with something specific (like COVID, strep throat, pink eye, flu, chickenpox, etc.), please mention that in Notes.

If you report an absence through Parent Connect, you do not need to call the attendance line.

Parents please pack an extra set of weather appropriate clothes in your child's backpack each day. Bathroom accidents, spills, mud puddles or unexpected messes can happen, and having a spare outfit will help keep your child comfortable throughout the day. This way, we can take care of any changes at school, and you won't have to make a trip to bring them. Thank you for your support!
