From the Principal

The second semester has got off to a great start, and we are thrilled to have the students back in the building. Even though some may have grumbled about returning to school, they have quickly picked up where they left off before the break and are getting back into learning mode. In many classes, the students are writing about their holiday experiences and setting goals for the New Year.

Starting next week, we will be administering the IREADY Mid-year Diagnostic test. This test will help students monitor their progress in reaching their goals and provide teachers with insights into skills they may still need to work on. The information gathered from this test will guide instruction and interventions for our students. They have been working hard this first semester and we are eager to see the improvements they have made!

Now it's Friday already ... Have a good weekend!

From the Assistant Principal

It was a great start to the new school year! I met with the different grade levels to discuss the safe and appropriate use of technology. During the meeting, I reminded the students that their Chromebooks are a tool to support their learning and that their search histories can be monitored by both their teachers and the technology department. When they use it appropriately and respectfully, it will give them many learning opportunities!

Chrome Books Chrome Books

Chromebooks and chargers are being sent home daily until further notice. This is being done as a precaution should we have weather-related virtual days. Please keep the Chrome Book in a safe place and make sure students bring them back each day. These are school-owned devices and are intended for school use only. Please do not allow siblings or other people to use their Chromebooks.

Should we have a virtual learning day, please refer to the link below and on our website for the Virtual Instruction Learning Plan. Your child's teacher has reviewed this, and students should know how to access Google Meet. Please reach out to your child's teacher if you have questions.
