PARENTS: There is a great deal of information in this newsletter and it is all important! Please read through it all and go over the relevant information with your child!
Class August 17
Notes from Ms Shelley - WELCOME TO THEATER COMPANY!
This week: Students began by finishing choreography for ‘It must be believed to be seen.’ Simultaneously, students were measured for costumes by Ms. Shelley and Ms. Sue. Lastly, we finished with music rehearsal for “Candy Man”, “Willy Wonka! Willy Wonka” and “I’ve got a golden ticket” and blocking the first 4 pages. We finished by handing out Tshirts and talking through the dress code for class.
Next Week: It’s a dance week! Students will be dancing for most of rehearsal. Please come with proper foot wear and attire. Be ready to sing through the songs from this week with confidence!
Practice:
This week students need to practice with their scripts and the music on MMS. Please also review the choreography videos linked below. Please note that the music in this show is NOT the same as the music in the Willy Wonka Movies. It’s imperative that students are given access to the proper music. See the instructions later in this newsletter for accessing the music through your MyMusicStaff account.
