Randall Weekly Update - Week 3

Good afternoon, Randall families!

Randall students had a great third week of school. We started out the week by celebrating perfect attendance for Mr. Wier's 4th grade class and Ms. Traut's 1st period class with a limbo party! (see pics below) Then, our 6th - 8th graders participated in Speak Up Speak Out (SUSO) presentations in which they learned about the SUSO platform and how to report and advocate for their own (and others') safety and well-being.

Our student athletes represented Randall with outstanding sportsmanship this week. Our Cross Country team placed 3rd for Girls and 9th for Boys at the Union Grove Meet this past Wednesday, with two of our girls placing in the top 10! Girls Softball took on Wheatland yesterday with our A Team locking in the win and our B Team holding our opponents to a 0-0 tie. Well done, student athletes!

Lastly, our Randall staff is so excited to welcome you into the building this coming Wednesday, September 17th for our Parent Connection Night. Staff have worked diligently to put together meaningful presentations to provide you with the information you need as parents/guardians to support your students' academic growth and success. Families with students in grades 6-8 will walk through their students' schedule throughout the course of the night. Families with students in grades 4K - 5 will choose a presentation to attend with the grade level teacher - presentations are at 5:00, 5:45 and 6:20. Students should attend with families in order to really engage in the evening!

We look forward to working with you and your student(s) throughout the 2025-26 school year. It is my goal to be as clear and supportive as possible. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me directly at agarcia@randall.k12.wi.us with any questions or concerns.

Hi Randall Families!

This week in Guidance our students either had to draw a picture or write a sentence about how they can show respect! I loved this activity because I loved hearing all of the different ways students plan to show respect either at school or at home. Some of the examples they gave were taking turns, being kind, helping mom/dad unload the groceries from the car, listening to their teachers, and helping their friends or siblings. We also had a picture to color that showed some of our Character Strong characters showing respect!

Our Junior High students are continuing to learn about building relationships. They are learning how to respectfully interact with one another, how to get to know one another, and learning to find their voice in front of others (and being respectful even if we disagree).

The world can feel heavy at times so teaching our students to be respectful is one small way that we can help continue to make our school community a wonderful place to be. I love that every student in our school is learning this important life skill and that it is something we can continue to talk about throughout the school year. As always, please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns!

Thank you,

Ms. Roth

Speak Up Speak Out Program for Randall Speak Up Speak Out Program for Randall

Randall School is pleased to announce the launch of the SPEAK UP, SPEAK OUT confidential tipline as part of our school safety efforts. Tiplines are used to identify threats to schools, and for concerns impacting school age youth such as bullying, drug use, suicidal thoughts and more. Schools that promote and use tiplines have less violence overall. The SPEAK UP, SPEAK OUT (SUSO) tipline is run by the Wisconsin Department of Justice’s Office of School Safety. Parents and students, this tool is available for anyone to use to help keep the Randall Community safe!

Randall students will engage in learning about how to advocate for their own (and others') safety and well-being over the next month in partnership with our counselor, Mrs. Roth, as well as other members of our student services team. We encourage you to speak with your child about the importance of communicating when/if they feel that their safety may be compromised.

Here is a LINK to an informational flyer about Speak Up Speak Out.

Thank you in advance for all of your support!
