GLOBE News
CREST In Action: Building Trust!
CREST in Action is about celebrating the diverse experiences, perspectives, and backgrounds that make our classrooms so special. Over the past month, students have been learning more about one another, building relationships, and creating classrooms where they feel safe, supported, and valued.
Trust grows when we listen to one another, keep our word, respect personal boundaries, and know that we can count on the people around us.
CREST in Action doesn't stop at school!
Families can continue the conversation at home by reminding older siblings that they are role models, too. Whether they realize it or not, younger brothers, sisters, and students are watching them. Let's encourage our scholars to lead with Community, Respect, Empathy, Sustainability, and Trust wherever they go!
Picture Day pics are ready!
You can view them here on the photographer website.
The access code to log in is your child's student ID number.
Please email the photographer if you have any issues logging in.
Retakes: Upper Campus - Wednesday, September 23. Lower Campus - Thursday, September 24.

Financial Assistance: Before-care grace period ending this Friday
GLOBE has been allowing students to attend the Before Care program without registration and fee payment while we implement the new financial assistance process to make sure things are running smoothly. The process is now operating successfully and therefore the grace period for attending Before Care, while we await registration and/or requests for financial assistance, will end on September 4, 2026.
Starting on September 8, all students must be registered and have paid the appropriate fee in order to participate in Before Care. Please click HERE to apply for financial assistance.
If you have already applied for financial assistance, keep a look out for emails from Denise Clayton-Purvis, GLOBE's CFO, at cfo@theglobeacademy.net. You will receive follow-up requests for documentation and your approval notification from this email address.
For more information regarding the Before Care program, email Cathy Clines.
For questions regarding Financial Assistance, email Denise Clayton-Purvis.
Popsicle Party Challenge
Check out the latest class leaderboard below!
The top 3 classes at each campus with the highest Annual Fund participation will win an in-school popsicle party. The deadline to give is Friday, September 11, 2026.
Lower Campus notes
Afternoon carpool: Do not arrive at Azalea Circle OR North Druid Hills Road, prior to 2:20pm.
If you must arrive before 2:20pm, please instead wait in the Bridgepoint Church parking lot, OR be a Walker and wait in the Clairmont Presbyterian Annex (see their advert below). Thank you for your partnership as we work to reduce traffic congestion in our neighborhood.
An invitation to Walker families from CPC
For families that utilize GLOBE’s Walker option, Clairmont Presbyterian Church invites you to relax in their atrium, youth lounge, or lobby, while you wait for dismissal, from 1:40pm. See their flyer for details. Please note this is for walker families only.
Library Helper Applications Open Next Week!
Applications will be available beginning Monday, September 7, and are due Monday, September 21. Library Helpers assist with shelving and checking in books, processing new books, creating displays and bookmarks, helping with bulletin boards, and assisting classmates with checkout during library visits.
Two students will be selected from each homeroom, for a total of 12 Library Helpers per grade. Students are selected based on their applications, past behavior in the library, and teacher recommendations.
New Library Helpers will be selected each semester, so students who aren't selected this fall will have another opportunity to apply in the spring!
Library Contract
Thank you for helping us get our library year off to a great start! If you would like your child to be able to borrow books from the LC library, complete the Library Contract here.
Please note that checkout will be available only to 1st to 5th grades.
Clinic
As we enter the new school year, please review the sick policies in the parent handbook.
Please do not send your child to school if they are feeling unwell. If you receive a call about your child being ill and needing to go home, please arrive within 1 hour. We make every effort to keep children at school, but if they are sick, they need to be at home as soon as possible. Families who cannot be reached will be escalated to an administrator. Please ensure that we have the BEST way to reach you in case of an emergency. Thank you.
