WAUWATOSA MONTESSORI SCHOOL
October 25th Newsletter
PRINCIPALS MESSAGE
Dear Wauwatosa Montessori School Community:
We are so excited for Trunk or Treat tonight (6-7:30 p.m.)! Hope to see you there. (= Thank you to the PTSA for sponsoring and organizing this event for our community!
Tonight and Saturday the Whitman & Montessori Players are putting on Eerie Academy; the show starts tonight at 7 p.m. and tomorrow at 2 p.m. (in the Whitman Cafeteria)! Congratulations to Liam Owens-Meyer, Camryn Mundschau, Harper Mundschau, Katie Kriegl, Elleanor Berghammer, and Edward Berghammer for being part of the cast and crew.
Our Lower Elementary Students had a great time at the Mequon Nature Preserve this week as an extension of their learning about leaves. They studied why the leaves change colors as well as scientific classification of leaves. Check out the pictures below! Thanks to Ms. Yifan and Ms. Brown for coordinating this experience! Thank you to all of the parents who volunteered to be chaperones!
I want to give a shout out to Chris Stasiewicz, Ryan Fritch, Edward Berghammer, and Smith Wooldridge for earning admittance into the UWM Honors Band. Thank you to Mr. Burmeister for promoting this opportunity. The students will have the special opportunity of working with guest conductors from universities from the Midwest and then will present a concert at the UWM Performing Arts Center.

Permission slips are due today Oct 25. We will also need parent coaches for helping with small groups (no experience necessary). Thank you Sally Courtney for leading this program again this year. See link below for more information or contact Jenice Carolan at carolaje@wauwatosa.k12.wi.us.

PTSA CORNER
The WMS PTSA supports the November referenda.
In September, the Wauwatosa Montessori PTSA voted in support of school board and legislative efforts to provide adequate and equitable public school funding for operational and infrastructure needs as well as to provide high quality education in facilities that are safe, well-equipped and sufficiently maintained for all children. Therefore, the WMS PTSA's position is to vote YES to both referendum questions on the November 5th ballot. This is in alignment with our constituents, the Wisconsin PTA and National PTA. At Monday’s school board meeting, the Wauwatosa PTA Council also shared that the majority of Tosa PTA/PTSA units are aligned in support of passing the referendum questions.
If you have any questions, please reach out directly to the PTSA at tosamontessori.ptsa@gmail.com.
