If you haven’t checked it out yet, last week the Let's Talk Podcast stepped inside the fast paced, unpredictable, and deeply meaningful world of school principals. Dr. Kendra Smith (Riverwood International Charter High School) and I joined the podcast and revealed what it really takes to lead a school community. We shared how strong systems, emotional intelligence, and a relentless commitment to instructional excellence keep their schools thriving. Dr. Smith and I also offered heartfelt reflections on leadership, the power of believing in your team, and the importance of sustaining the energy inside each “small city” they lead. Listen here.

Mayor Broom Visit to College Park Elementary

We were honored to welcome Mayor Bianca Motley Broom to College Park Elementary for a special visit with our Pre-K student leaders! She began by greeting each scholar with a handshake and introducing herself as the Mayor of College Park, setting the tone for a warm and engaging experience. Our student leaders proudly introduced themselves before gathering for storytime as Mayor Broom read Hey Georgia!

In partnership with Ferst Readers, each scholar also received three brand-new books and a book bag to take home further fueling their love for literacy. It was a memorable day filled with connection, leadership, and the joy of reading as we continue Empowering a Legacy of Leaders! 📚✨
