The Holy Triduum (Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Holy Saturday) concludes the Lenten season and begins the memorializing of Christ’s Passion, Death and Resurrection.
HOLY THURSDAY (April 17, 2025): This is the Mass of the Lord’s Last Supper, where Jesus washes the feet of his Apostles and Institutes the Holy Eucharist.
GOOD FRIDAY (April 18, 2025): Jesus endures His Passion and Death on the Cross for our sake! There is NO MASS on Good Friday, as the priest does not consecrate the host to the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Jesus Christ. Catholics do, however, receive Holy Communion at this service.
HOLY SATURDAY (April 19, 2025): Here, we wait in quiet anticipation of Jesus’s Resurrection. NO Mass is celebrated.
EASTER VIGIL (April 19, 2025): At the Easter Vigil Mass, traditionally celebrated after sunset, we enter the mystery of the celebration of Christ’s Resurrection.
EASTER SUNDAY (April 20, 2025): The word "Easter" comes from Old English, meaning simply the "East." The sun which rises in the East, bringing light, warmth, and hope, is a symbol for the Christian of the rising Christ, who is the true Light of the world.
