FHS is off to a great start! Check out what we have been up to!
Ferguson High School is off to one of the best starts to date! We could not be more excited for the 24-25 school year. As a staff, we are committed to preparing our students for their next journey in life whether it is in the workforce or college readiness. Thompson School District defines these qualities in their Portrait of a Graduate, and FHS couldn't agree more! Keep an eye out for our Fergie Fri-yay celebrations which highlights student's on a weekly basis in one of the five pillars of success!

Welcome Our New Staff
Ben Evenson
I grew up in Indiana where I completed my bachelors in Biology Education at Indiana Wesleyan University. After working in Indiana Public schools for a year and a half, I moved to NYC with my now wife to teach Biology in East Harlem and the Bronx. After three years of teaching in this area, we moved to Fort Collins leading me to work here at Ferguson High School. Outside of work I love to hike with my family, rock climb, read, and spend weekends in the mountains camping.
Anastasia Pankau
Anastasia has joined our Ferguson Family as our World Language Spanish teacher and Assessment Specialist. She comes to us with a BA in Spanish, MA in Anthropology, and over 16 years in education. She is a proud sponsor of the Gender and Sexuality Alliance, as well as, the Dungeons and Dragons club at FHS. Anastasia has already begun spoiling the staff with her delicious home baked goods and amazing dedication to our students. We are so excited to have her on staff and look forward to a fantastic year!
π¦ Academic Spotlight - Social Studies π¦
The Social Studies department is busy with engaging and meaningful projects! In World History and Geography, students created posters on the five themes of geography. Civics students wrote their own basic constitutions and are learning about the structures and forms of government. Psychology students are exploring the seven approaches to psychology through interactive activities.
In Modern American History, weβve worked our way through a Harvard Business School unit on Reconstruction, keeping the rigor high while making it accessible to all students. Meanwhile, in Contemporary Issues, students are critically analyzing media bias, sharpening their media literacy skills.
Weβre proud of the progress our students are making as they tackle these dynamic projects!
