We understand that our students will be out of school for various reasons. The most common reason for absences is due to illness. Sometimes there is no way to avoid sickness. But there are preventative steps that we can take to stay as healthy as possible. And, there are indicators to look at in order to identify the severity of an illness.
When children present with symptoms of illness, some famiies may be unsure when to send their child to school or when to keep them at home. Below, I have included links to the Walpole Public Schools Health Services website. The site will provide you with all the information that you need to know regarding health procedures, documents, injuries, etc. when making daily attendance decisions.
Please refer to this page or contact your school nurse when making decisions about absences. The more that we work together, the more we can reduce our absentee rates in Walpole.
