Benny Passes the Mic to Our PTA President...

Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a joyful and refreshing Winter Break. Please join us for our general meeting on January 26 at 6:00 p.m. to hear what we have planned for the upcoming semester.

Congratulations to all our PTA Reflections Arts Contest winners! Boggess students always amaze us with their creativity. Check out our winners and some of their incredible artwork below.

Our scholarship committee is now taking applications for our Boggess PTA scholarship, which goes to a deserving senior who attended Boggess. Please spread the word and encourage any former Bengal you know to apply.

Thanks,

Sylvia Roy

BENNY'S VOLUNTEERS OF THE WEEK

Benny wants to give a shout out to Nermeen Louis for chairing the PTA Reflections Arts Contest and Family STEAM Night in December. Thanks for all your hard work making these events fun and memorable for our students!

Welcome to our new VP of Ways and Means, Gloria Williams! Gloria has served Plano ISD PTAs for multiple years as a mother and now as a grandmother. Gloria has twin grandsons in Boggess first grade. She serves on our campus School Based Improvement Committee, and you may recognize her as a volunteer at many of our PTA events. A native Texan and Texas A&M Aggie, Gloria brings more than 25 years of experience as an IT project manager to her role on our PTA board. Feel free to say hello to Gloria and talk Dallas Cowboys and fantasy football with her anytime!

HELP PROVIDE AIR FILTERS FOR OUR CLASSROOMS

Last year, PTA parents stepped up to equip our classrooms with air purifiers. Now those purifiers need new air filters to give our classrooms an extra layer of protection this winter. Our goal is to have at least two purifiers up and running in each classroom at all times.

Please visit this Sign Up Genius to donate. Purchases can be dropped off at school with the designated class/teacher's name.

Thanks once again for keeping our students and staff safe and healthy!

ENTER THE KEEP MURPHY BEAUTIFUL ART CONTEST
