We hope everyone had a happy New Year! We have been so happy to have students back in class after the Winter Break. We wanted to let you know that we have a new service to offer families, as well as a few events coming up that we are excited to host and would love our community to participate. You can find more information below.

New Mental Health Service New Mental Health Service

We wanted to let you know of a new service we are providing to our staff and families.

We have partnered with ReferralGPS, a web-based service that assists students, staff and our community in finding local mental-health and substance-use related treatment.

ReferralGPS adds to the district’s existing network of support. Our clinical staff, social workers, psychologists, and counselors have all been trained and are ready to help you use this service.

You may access Referral GPS in a few ways. You can visit the service’s website directly to search for treatment resources, or contact a member of our Student Services team, which includes school counselors, psychologists and social workers, for help.

The service is free for all district families and students. You may find providers through the service that accept a variety of public and private insurance plans, as well as those who will assist uninsured or underinsured patients. Visitors to the site can also select their preferred language.

If you need assistance, ReferralGPS offers Care Navigators who will walk you through the process of finding a provider and scheduling an appointment. All information entered into the service is confidential.

If you are interested in using ReferralGPS, you may find more information by visiting our website or reaching out to a member of our Student Services team.

World Language Night World Language Night

The RLAS-116 World Language Department invites you to share your culture and talents during our 2024 World Language Night, to be held on Tuesday, April 16 from 6 to 8:30 pm.

The World Language Night hopes to inspire all students and members of the Round Lake Area to enjoy the diversity of our community and our world. Students in our program work hard to master their language skills, and they also engage in critical reflection of different perspectives throughout the world. We would like to take an evening to show off not only their learning, but to exhibit the richness of our community, where more than 30 languages are represented!

We are reaching out in hopes for your participation. We are looking for RLAS-116 families and staff who would like to showcase their culture at this event through recipes and food, artifacts/crafts, music, performances or another method.

If you would like to participate, please complete this survey by Friday, Feb. 2, 2024.

The World Language Department will be contacting you shortly with more information about the specifics of this event.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation and help!

We're looking for community members to participate in our 2024 Black History Month Celebration at the Round Lake Beach Cultural and Civic Center Feb. 23 at 6:30 p.m.

With this event, we celebrate African Americans who have made significant strides in advancing the ideals of life, liberty and justice for all through voluntary emigration, nonviolence, education, art, literature, sports, legislation and politics and more. Our theme this year is "African Americans and the Arts."

We would be honored if our community would consider participating. We are looking for RLAS-116 families and staff who would be willing to help us decorate the event space or who would like to showcase their culture at this event through artifacts/crafts, music, performances or another method.

If you would like to participate, please complete this survey by Friday, Feb. 9, 2024.

We thank you for your consideration!
