1. Fridays through October 24: Special Dress Fridays to Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month

Every Friday during Hispanic Heritage Month has its own special dress. This Friday, 10/10 is Vaquero Day! Celebrate the tradition of cowboys and wear cowboy boots, hats, plaid shirts and jeans.

2. October 13-17: Fall Break for Fulton County Schools

Enjoy time off next week to recharge and relax. If you're extending your break and utilizing remote learning days, be sure to contact Ms. Price (pricem@fultonschools.org), at the front desk, to register for a remote day.

3. Basketball & Tumbling Tryouts

Basketball tryouts continue after fall break, and Tumbling will hold an interest meeting on 10/20- all skill levels welcome. Find the latest on the RCMS Athletics page and note the schedule is subject to change.

4. October 20-24: Celebrate Bus Driver Appreciation Week!

We are grateful for the hard work our 30+ RCMS bus drivers put in each day to ensure our students make it to and from school safely. PTA will be celebrating them all week long with treats and small tokens of appreciation, and your student can join in by writing a note or offering a bit of thanks during this special week.

7. Musical Auditions happening soon!

Tryouts for our spring musical are happening in November. Students have been hearing about auditions on the announcements. Please remind students to let Mr. Robinson know if they would like to audition. Students do not need to be in Chorus in order to audition for the musical.

5. October 23: Hispanic Heritage Month Concert

Make plans to attend the biggest night of music all school year- the annual Hispanic Heritage Month Concert! Band, Chorus and Orchestra students from all great levels will perform a fun array on music and show off their skills. Traditional Hispanic foods will be featured in our complimentary dinner!

5:00 p.m.- Doors Open & Dinner Served
5:30- Chorus
6:30- Orchestra
7:30- Band

6. Register for the SSEF Lightning Race, Sign up by 10/10 to save!

8. 8th Grade Field Trip Permission Slips Due October 24

8th Grade is going on a STEM Based field trip to a Gladiators game on November 5th. Permission slips were sent home with your student and must be returned by October 24th. The Field Trip cost is $20 and can be paid HERE. Contributions to help other students are appreciated.
