K-Center Weekly Update – Picture Retakes, Red Ribbon Week & Home and School
Good afternoon, Kindergarten Families!
I hope everyone is having a great week! We have a few things coming up that I wanted to make sure you have on your calendar.
📸 Picture Retakes – Tomorrow
Tomorrow will be Picture Retake Day. If you would like to have your child’s picture retaken, please send the picture package that you purchased and that was sent home with your child back to school tomorrow.
Any students who are new to the Kindergarten Center and started after our original Picture Day will also have the opportunity to have their picture taken.
I know teachers have sent home information about how to order a picture package. Please remember that pictures are completely voluntary. Tomorrow is only for students who are having their pictures retaken and new students who were not here for our original Picture Day.
❤️ Red Ribbon Week – Next Week
Next week we will celebrate Red Ribbon Week! Red Ribbon Week is a time for schools to encourage students to make healthy, safe, and positive choices. At the kindergarten level, our focus is simple and age-appropriate—being kind, taking care of ourselves, making good choices, and being proud of who we are!
We will have a different theme each day to make the week fun for our students. Please look below for each day’s theme. Participation in our spirit days is always optional.
👑 Virtual Home & School Meeting – Monday, October 26
Our next Home & School meeting will be held virtually on Monday, October 26, from 6:00–6:30 p.m.
I am excited to share that our Superintendent, Dr. McGarry, will be joining us for this meeting! This is a great opportunity for our families to hear from and talk with our Superintendent.
The meeting will be virtual, and I will send the link to families on Sunday.
As always, thank you for everything you do to support your children and our Kindergarten Center. It truly is such a pleasure watching our students grow, learn, and become more confident each day. We are so lucky to be part of their kindergarten year!
I hope you enjoy the rest of your week!
