• Tuesday- Courage and Crowns: Dress like your favorite Disney princess or hero. No Masks.
• Wednesday- Welcome to the Dark Side: Dress like your favorite Disney villain or wear villain colors. No Masks.
• Thursday- Sidekick Spotlight: Wear your favorite Disney sidekick gear or dress like them. Again, No Masks.
• Friday- Top Off the Magic!: Wear your best Disney headgear: Ears, Crowns, or Hats!

Free sports physicals will be available for all middle students on June 4, 2026, at the WVU Health Sciences Center from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

WVSSAC Student Athletic Physicals are required for middle and high school sports. Download the WVSSAC Form at the link below or contact your school's athletic director for more information.

Don't miss this opportunity to complete your required physical and be cleared to play!

Important: Forms must be completed with a parent/caregiver signature before registration, Middle School students must have a parent/caregiver present in order to receive a physical.

Dear Parents and Guardians,

As a reminder, all students entering 7th grade are required by law to have the following immunizations completed before the first day of school:

• Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis)

• Meningococcal (Meningitis)

Proof of these immunizations must be submitted to the school nurse prior to the first day of classes, 08/20/2026.

Students who do not have proof of these immunizations on file may not be allowed to start school until the requirement is met. Please contact your child’s healthcare provider as soon as possible to ensure these vaccinations are up to date. You may also contact the school nurse via email at amanda.dagostino@k12.wv.us if you have questions and can't reach your provider.

If they are not up to date you may call:

• Your student's physician
• local pharmacies such as CVS, Walgreens, Spring Mills Pharmacy, and/or Target Pharmacy
• local Health Departments: Berkeley, Jefferson, Morgan, and/or Washington County MD

This past week, SMMS hosted the County Chess Tournament. SMMS took 1st and 2nd in the tournament and South Middle took 3rd place.
