In April 2025, the Cherokee Nation partnered in our Spectacular Science Night by providing two hands-on exhibits. Students and families learned about coding through the use of Ozobots. The Cherokee Nation also offered an interactive exhibit, which allowed our students to make smoothies using blender bikes. It was an incredible night of learning and fun. Wado!

Native American Studies

As Native American Studies students wrap up the end of the Spring semester, students can confidentially say that they learned all of the Cherokee syllabary symbols!

Students had a very busy school year and learned so much throughout both semesters! The last two sections that classes learned about was Native American Boarding Schools and Life After Removal. Life After Removal included many topics like rebuilding the nation, and government.

Cherokee

Cherokee Language students had a very productive and busy year. Students learned the entire Cherokee syllabary in the Fall Semester, many phrases, numbers, colors, months, animals, general items, family members, and so much more! Students can easily read the Cherokee syllabary, and read and recognize words or phrases that are written in Cherokee syllabary!
