Playground area work: week of Sept 21st
Lakeside is excited to announce the week of Sept 21st, there will be work done on our blacktop area to add a variety of new activities for the students. THANK YOU to the PTO and our families for the generous support of our Glow Run Fundraiser last spring!
If you're at Lakeside outside of school hours the week of Sept 21st, stay away from the area blocked off by cones. This is the area the artist is working in to add our new activities.
Homecoming week:

Megas (Extra Entrees) & A La Carte Now Available for 3rd, 4th & 5th Graders!
Megas and a la carte items are now available for purchase. At the beginning of each school year, our kitchen staff take the first couple of weeks to get a better sense of how many students are eating school meals so we can prepare the right amount of food and ensure every student receives a meal.
We appreciate your patience during these first few weeks as our kitchen staff work to establish meal counts and make sure we are prepared to serve all of our students. Thank you for your understanding and support!
Backpack4Kids Program
The “Food4Kids Backpack Program” provides a bag of nonperishable food items to children every week. This program is available to all students, regardless of income. It will be handled discreetly and confidentially. If you would like to sign up for the program, please sign up HERE
Anyone may join at any time during the school year.
Friends Make a Difference Mentoring Program
We have a great opportunity to be a mentor to a Lakeside student! We meet once a month during the lunch period.
Mentorship can make a positive difference in the life of a young person, the mentor, and the community. Investing time and energy in long-term mentor/mentee relationships with our youth is beneficial in preparing them for a future of serving themselves and others. Research confirms that mentoring works!
We encourage you to consider helping make a difference by participating in the valuable friendship mentoring program.
