Attention 6-7th Grade Parents: The AVID enrollment process has begun!
AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) is a college and career readiness program designed to help students develop the skills needed to be successful in their college and future careers. AVID is not an intervention, or remedial course; rather, it is a course to fast-track students to advanced courses and is especially beneficial for students who have not previously been in advanced courses. Friday Advisory Enrichment is Back!
We’re excited to kick off our Friday Advisory Enrichment for students! This program allows students to choose a club or activity to participate in for a 6-week period, providing opportunities to explore interests and build connections. Please note that during advisory (2:06–2:31 PM), students will be actively engaged in their chosen clubs, making it challenging to locate them for early pickups. We appreciate your understanding and encourage planning ahead to ensure minimal disruptions. Thank you for supporting this enriching experience for our students!

We know the middle school to high school transition can be daunting, especially for new-to-high school parents, so we want to make sure we share the information you will need to help your student navigate the process. Please mark your calendars with the following dates:V
Have questions? VRHS counselors will be available for optional virtual meetings to discuss any concerns regarding the high school transition. Links for signing up with your student’s future counselor will be shared on February 24, 2025.

Reminder: Item Drop-Off Table Guidelines
The item drop-off table is intended for occasional use and only for items necessary to the school day. Frequent or daily drop-offs, such as lunches, require interruptions to students' learning time, which we aim to minimize. Please help us support a focused learning environment by limiting drop-offs to urgent or one-time needs. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!
