A Message from Mrs. Belcher:
Stewart families,
Our school start time is now 7:50 a.m. However, our car rider line procedures will not change. Please make arrangements to have your child at school prior to the 7:50 a.m. tardy bell. If your child is tardy, please park and walk your child in. This ensures your child is safe and checked in for the day. Don't forget, our morning "Stop and Drop" is open from 7:10-7:25 each morning. If you choose to take advantage of this option, please join the maroon lane to drop off. We have staff members who assist with this process.
We invite our Mustangs to participate in Red Ribbon Week by dressing up for each spirit day as we pledge to be drug free! The spirit day schedule is found below.
School attendance is crucial in student success. We ask that all students attend school each day and for the entire school day. It is very difficult to catch up on curriculum if students are tardy, check out early, or are absent. If your child is out sick, please send in the proper documentation so we can keep it in your child's file. Thank you for partnering with us as we develop responsible habits with our students.
Please continue to read the Stampede each week for updates and information throughout the school year.
Sincerely,
Kristen Belcher, Principal
Stewart Elementary

NWEA MAP Information: 6th Grade
Explore College Readiness with NWEA College Explorer:
Conroe ISD has partnered with NWEA to help students in grades 6-10 better understand college readiness using their MAP Growth scores. Students can use the College Explorer tool to see projected SAT and ACT scores, explore colleges that align with those projections, compare their results to a target college, and learn about majors that may match their academic strengths.
Students can find their MAP Growth scores in Home Access Center under District Applications and then visit NWEA College Explorer to enter their Math and Reading RIT scores. These projections are based on average growth assumptions and are intended as a planning tool, not an admission guarantee.

6th Grade: Presentation
Dear 6th Grade Parents and Guardians,
The week of October 26–30, 2026, our school counselor will host a brief, age-appropriate presentation for 6th-grade students focused on fentanyl awareness and drug safety. As part of our commitment to keeping our students safe, this session will provide honest, vital information on the dangers of counterfeit pills and synthetic drugs, while empowering students with tools to make healthy choices. We encourage you to use this as an opportunity to start or continue these critical safety conversations at home. If you would like to opt out from your student being a part of this presentation, please contact Mrs. T. McCray (Counselor) to let her know. This presentation is a legal requirement from the state.
