District Update - October 5
Superintendent's Message
Midview Community,
More than 2,800 Middies are back in our schools, settling into their routines and getting into the work of another school year. It’s hard to believe we are already a month in and halfway through our first quarter.
Over the past several weeks, I’ve had the opportunity to spend time in each of our buildings, and I continue to be impressed by what I see happening in our classrooms. Our students are building the academic knowledge they need to be successful, but they are also learning how to communicate, collaborate, solve problems, think creatively and show empathy for others. Our staff does a great job every day bringing learning to life for our students, while also helping them develop the skills they need to become well-rounded individuals.
For more than 180 kindergarteners and 80 preschoolers, these first few weeks have been the beginning of their Midview journey. They are making friends, having fun and beginning to figure out what it means to be a student. At the other end, more than 190 seniors are beginning their final year with us and already looking ahead to May 27 and what comes next.
Between those two groups are hundreds of Middies at different points in their own academic journeys. Some are learning to read. Some are discovering new interests that may shape their future. Some are making new friends and figuring out who they are. Others are beginning to think seriously about college, careers, the military or another path after graduation. What they all have in common is the people around them who are committed to helping them succeed.
A great educational experience does not happen because of one person, one classroom or one building. It is the result of generations of students, staff, families and community members investing in Midview and taking pride in our schools. We all have a role in building on that foundation and making sure today’s students have the support, opportunities and education they need to learn, grow, and thrive. That shared commitment is at the heart of what makes Midview strong, and it is something we will continue to carry forward.
There is a lot to be proud of as we settle into this school year, and plenty of important work still ahead. I’m looking forward to the opportunities this year will bring and to sharing them with our community along the way.
My door is always open, and I encourage you to reach out with any questions. I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve Midview and look forward to all that we will accomplish together.
Go Middies!
Chad Heuser, Superintendent

Stuff the Bus Helps More Than 100 Midview Families
For the third consecutive school year, Midview’s Stuff the Bus initiative brought our school community together to help students start the school year with the supplies they need. Led by the Midview Transportation Department in partnership with Albert’s Fresh Market, this year’s drive collected more than $2,000 in donations, along with a busload of school supplies and backpacks. Thanks to the generosity of our community, those supplies were distributed to well over 100 Midview families during our Back-to-School Rally and school open houses.
We are grateful to everyone who donated supplies, contributed financially or helped spread the word about this effort. We would also like to recognize several of the individuals, businesses and organizations who made significant contributions to this year’s drive, including Grafton VFW, John Homenik, Kathy Quintiliano, Elyria Walmart, Wee Care Closet, Tammy Koleski, Bella Creamery, D & A Armory, United Way (Rudolph Libbie Group JEM), Midview Compass Committee, the Stephanie (Ebol) Roig Family, Christ Church and Wingstop.
