Badminton - CIF Division 1 Champions
Securing the CIF Championship after a demanding four-match playoff run was a profound full-circle moment for the Rowland badminton program. Reaching these exact finals two years ago and falling short served as a vital learning experience; instead of breaking their spirit, that heartbreak fueled two years of relentless perseverance, technical refinement, and shared growth. During this ultimate championship push, veteran players were the undeniable backbone of the squad, drawing on their past experience to hold the team together and maintain absolute composure under intense pressure. Inspired by that steady leadership, freshmen and sophomores stepped up brilliantly on the big stage, executing clutch performances and securing vital wins across their flights. Earning this championship plaque is the ultimate redemption story, proving that a united front can turn past setbacks into a sweeping victory. Captains Matthew Chang and Christina Chen won all their mixed matches and guided the team when matches were tough.
We would also like to congratulate Sabrina Su and Christina Chen for winning CIF Individual Doubles, and Jolie Chung for winning CIF Individual Singles.
The Senior All-Day Event will take place on Monday, June 1st, from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the gym. Seniors must check in twice using MINGA in order to receive their two additional graduation tickets. Attendance for the full event is required.
The Class of 2026 Live Picture will be taken on Monday, June 1, on the football field. This special moment brings the entire senior class together to create a memorable group photo that will commemorate the end of their high School journey.
