The Barber Bulletin 2026 - 2027
Edition #11 (November 2nd - November 6th)
Hi Everyone,
I hope that you are enjoying the weekend and the "extra" hour of sleep today. Thank you for being an important part of our community and working together with our dedicated, intelligent, and thoughtful staff. Each of us is here to get to know your child, provide them with the right balance of support and challenge, and to celebrate their successes. Much like parenting, teaching is an exhausting role that requires a deep commitment and a belief in our children's greatness. I am grateful that our staff is so deeply committed to you, your children, and to our community.
I am returning from Valentino's final soccer game of the season...until indoor begins. In a few weeks, Luciano will begin his final high school basketball season, which I am excited for, since basketball is the greatest sport...in some people's opinion. :) Speaking of basketball, a former UHMSer (Primo Spears) just made the G-League Westchester Knicks roster!
It was so great to see so many of you at Trunk or Treat on Thursday evening. Thank you for making space in your day to connect with and have fun with your UHMS community. A huge THANK YOU to each of you who donated goodies and to our PTO for generously supporting the success of this event. Without our staff and families who dressed up and decorated their space, this event would not be possible - THANK YOU! And finally, an extra special SHOUT OUT to Mrs. Desrosiers and Mrs. Pizzowes for organizing and leading our annual Trunk or Treat! Their collaboration and attention to detail helped create the amazing event that Trunk or Treat is!
Please remember that there is No School on Tuesday, November 3rd for Election Day - I hope that you will vote.
Have a great week.
Tim
