WEEK 23

As we finish off this excellent week here at RCHS I want to remind everyone that Monday 2/17 is a snow make up day and school will be in session. This has been a very productive week and also a week of accomplishments. We have four wrestlers competing in Semi State on Saturday. Good luck to Sam Pavey, Briggs Tackett, Blake Hunt, and Denver Campbell! FFA week is next week and the halls are filled with blue and gold! I can't wait for everything that these kids will celebrate next week. This is a tough stretch for those in education as well as students. I am proud of how everyone is handling this time period and still getting after it every day. We have had a lot of illness run through the school with students and staff missing days. Everyone sty rested, stay hydrated, and try to stay clear of those who are sick. I hope everyone has a great weekend and those who are not feeling well can start to get on the mend. See everyone on MONDAY!!!!

EMERGING LEADERS

The Rush County Rotary held the third meeting of the year with current Juniors who are in the Emerging Leaders program. The goal of this program is to teach kids about life after High School and give them advice from people who have already been there. They also touch a lot on financial responsibility and the different ways in which college can be paid for.

Construction

Students are working on creating house models in Mr. Smith's Principles of Construction class. Mrs. Meek heard about why having headers in your load bearing outside wall is important, although she is still learning all of the details- she will leave it to them to build! The students talked about the importance of having trimmer studs to ensure the window doesn't break!

FACCS

Students came into class with a surprise lab for Valentines Day! They were able to choose to make either cherry or strawberry poptarts. The choice was difficult for some groups in choosing the best flavor.
