Principal's Message 🍂 Principal's Message 🍂

Dear Repetto Families,

As we enter this beautiful season of gratitude, I find myself reflecting on how thankful I am to be part of the Repetto School community. Since joining the Repetto family in August, I have been welcomed with open arms by our students, staff, and families. Every day, I see the kindness, dedication, and spirit that make our school such a special place.

I am grateful for our amazing teachers and staff, who work tirelessly to create engaging learning experiences and nurture the whole child. Their commitment to academic excellence and social-emotional growth shines through in every classroom. I am also thankful for our students, whose curiosity, creativity, and perseverance inspire us all. Seeing their smiles, hearing their laughter, and watching their progress reminds me daily why our work matters.

To our families, thank you for your continued partnership and support. Whether you volunteer your time, attend school events, or encourage learning at home, you play a vital role in helping our students thrive. Together, we are building a school community grounded in respect, responsibility, and care.

As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday, let us take time to appreciate one another and the many blessings in our lives. I encourage all of us, students and adults alike, to express gratitude each day, whether through a simple thank you, a helping hand, or a moment of reflection.

Wishing you and your family a joyful, restful, and gratitude-filled season.

With appreciation,

Jennifer Wright
Principal, Repetto Elementary School

6th Grade Science Camp ⛺ 6th Grade Science Camp ⛺

Earlier this month, our 6th graders had the opportunity to go to Camp Pollock at Lake Arrowhead, thanks to efforts of the Alhambra Educational Foundation (AEF) and Alhambra Unified School District (AUSD). This is the third year that AEF and AUSD have been able to sponsor this student experience.

Students spent 3 days and 2 nights participating in various activities such as zip-lining, rock climbing, arts & crafts, nature hikes, team-building, and bb guns & archery.

A HUGE thank you to our 6th grade teachers and parent chaperones who attended and supervised students, traveled with students on the bus, participated in the activities, and stayed in the lodges with the students. We would not have been able to do this without them!

Thank you for joining us at Repetto's Harvest Festival! I would like to thank Repetto's staff, ASB, and PTA for all of their hard work in putting together this annual event and making it an enjoyable and successful evening for our community.

The Harvest Festival is one of the key ways that grade levels fundraise for field trips each year. It also provides an opportunity for Repetto families to spend an evening together and celebrate our school community.

Character Trait of the Month - Gratitude Character Trait of the Month - Gratitude

November's character trait is Gratitude. One way to think about Gratitude is “choosing to appreciate the people and things in our lives.” Practicing Gratitude can increase our well-being and our happiness. What we believe about ourselves influences our well-being. This month, students will focus on positive self-talk, which is the ability to notice unhelpful thoughts and turn them into more helpful ones. They will also use the Emotion Elements to identify how they feel.

Emotion Elements

  • Wind represents feeling words such as inspired, anxious, playful, and nervous.
  • Water represents feeling words such as concerned, thoughtful, tired, and bored.
  • Fire represents feeling words such as annoyed, overwhelmed, excited, and scared.
  • Earth represents feeling words such as motivated, focused, confident, and proud.

Gratitude is one of three traits students will focus on throughout the year that helps students Be Well.

Throughout the school year, students will be developing skills that include emotion regulation, positive self-talk, and stress management.
