A note from Mrs Tidd.... A note from Mrs Tidd....

We have all gotten into a routine and school feels like “normal” again. So, it’s a good time to remind students each week how they can help model STARR expectations at school. The S stands for safe - we want students to be safe at all times. These behaviors include walking in the hallway quietly so others can learn, following directions, staying in our assigned spaces, using classroom materials properly, and keeping our hands and feet to ourselves. That last one seems like it is the most difficult for our students - we usually start off joking and don’t mean any harm and then it escalates into hurt feelings and anger. Thank you for helping us model and discuss these same characteristics at home so our students can be successful daily here at school. My favorite moment this week was watching a first grader RUN past me, stop, turn around to look at me, walk back to me, and then continue walking to class instead of running. I didn’t have to say a word- he KNEW it was the wrong choice and he should redo the behavior. It’s hard to believe it is already the end of August, but we have such fun things to look forward to in September - starting with the Color Run on Tuesday. Hope you can join us!

As always, thank you for sharing your students with us and have a wonderful weekend!

Sra. Tidd

Panorama Survey Panorama Survey

Around August 24th, our students will be taking the Panorama survey in their classrooms. Students in grades K-2 will be answering the Panorama survey with the help of a classroom teacher, while students in grades 3-5 will answer questions on their own. The survey provides our district with valuable information that will help us better meet the needs of our students. You will find more information in the letters linked below!
