Early College High School Preparing for TSI Testing in December!
PCC teachers have been working diligently to prepare our students for their next round of TSI Testing in December. Juniors have been working with Coach Norton on Khan Academy for TSI Math, and Freshmen with Ms. Crayton for TSI English. This test serves as the gatekeeper for students to progress to college classes and stay on track for an Associate's Degree or Core 42. This week, Ms. Crayton took to the hallways for a fun gallery walk/puzzle using popular songs to identify literary devices! Students could use her as a lifeline to the answer if they sang the song to her, which was great to watch

ATTENDANCE MATTERS!
Being on time and present in class is key to your success! A friendly reminder that absences (and tardies) add up quickly, and missing too many classes can put your credits at risk! Stay committed, engaged, and make every day count! Your future starts with showing up!
Tips for Getting to Class & Completing Work:
✔ Get to know your teacher – Building a relationship can help you feel more comfortable asking for support.
✔ Ask for help – Don’t hesitate to reach out if you’re struggling with an assignment. In class and outside of class (Email, after school, during your lunch, etc.)
✔ Wait to use the restroom until you've finished an assignment – Prioritizing work first can help keep you on track.
✔ Find a study group with peers – Studying with classmates can boost understanding and accountability.
✔ Stay organized – Keep track of assignments, due dates, and notes to stay on top of your work.
✔ Set small goals – Break down larger tasks into manageable steps to make them less overwhelming.
✔ Use class time wisely – Focus during class so you can complete work and avoid falling behind.
✔ Keep a positive mindset – Staying motivated and believing in yourself can help you power through challenges.
We have started our Attendance Incentive Program! Students who achieve perfect attendance will be entered into a drawing for prizes, rewards, and even invitation-only events!
