DMS Delivers
May 24, 2024
Dear DMS Families,
It is hard to believe that we are already moving into Memorial Day weekend, and that next week is the last week of May. As a reminder, there is no school on Monday, May 27th. At this point, we are officially down to four weeks of school left, and I know DMS students and families are looking forward to summer. MCAS has officially finished, and it is time to start thinking about our end of year events. Students will be receiving information from their teachers very soon if they have not already, so please be on the lookout for field trip information at each grade level.
In addition, we have a few events planned for the end of the year including the PTO sponsored Color Run, grade level Career Days, and an assembly on Digital Citizenship. Today, we also hosted the State Police at DMS. Students participated in outdoor stations to learn more about the many divisions within the State Police. This was an exciting day for students.
Below you will find information on the PTO Color Run and Donut Day, DRRHS CTE Summer Camp, and soccer, as well as an invitation to the DMS Gym Dedication on June 1st. Please also find information on the Spring Scholastic Book Fair.
Have a great week!

Old Colony YMCA Family Resource Center
We have recently made a community connection with Community & Social Services | Old Colony YMCA. Their Family Resource Center is available to Dighton families and has much to offer in the form of support. Please feel free to check out all that they have to offer by using the previous links, or accessing their May Calendar.
8th Grade End of Year Events
Information on Grade 8 end of year events went out a few weeks ago from Mrs. Rose. We are looking forward to celebrating with students as they complete their time at DMS, and move on to high school. Don't forget to RSVP to the Grade 8 Promotion Ceremony via the Google form that was provided in the email from Mrs. Rose. If you have any questions, please reach out to her at hrose@drregional.org.
Student Chromebook Repairs
In the event that a chromebook is damaged, lost or not working, please submit a Technology Helpdesk Ticket. Once the technicians have confirmation of the ticket, they will provide the student with a temporary device to be used while the damage is evaluated. If the damage is seemingly accidental damage, the chromebook will be repaired at no cost to the student. If you have any questions, please reach out to the DMS Main Office.
