Attendance
September is Attendance Awareness Month, a nationwide effort to recognize the connection between regular school attendance and academic achievement. Join us in making regular attendance a priority this school year!
PBIS
Your student attended a PBIS kickoff assembly the first day of school. During the assembly, staff were introduced as well as our core values of Respect, Integrity, Ownership, and Safety. These core values help Madison Middle School to establish the positive culture that we want students to be a part of. We use the phrase:
"The Madison Way. All Day. Every Day"
The second phase of our PBIS system that was introduced was the Middle School Acknowledgement system. A PBIS Acknowledgement System is how schools recognize and reward students for making good choices and following expectations. Instead of only focusing on misbehavior, this system helps highlight and celebrate the positive things students do every day. At Madison Middle School a teacher that sees a student meeting expectations can give that student a MadMoney ticket. Students that receive the MadMoney ticket will turn it into the office. A drawing will take place every other Friday at the end of the school day. Students whose tickets are drawn will come to the office and be able to choose an item from our snack cart.
Infinite Campus
This year both new and returning students/families will complete student registration via the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. This can be done for returning families via the Parent Portal app or by using the link that follows https://www.infinitecampus.com/login
The purpose of this process is to ensure that our records are updated with correct addresses/phone numbers. This process will also eliminate the large number of paper forms that parents are asked to complete at the start of each school year!
Parents who do not have an active Parent Portal account in Infinite Campus should us the QR Code or link below to request an activation code.
Student Technology Fee
An annual Technology/Textbook fee of $25 will be assessed to all middle and high school students. The Technology Fee must be paid before a student can receive their textbooks & Chromebook. The fee can be paid on myschoolbucks.com.
To ensure that your student can receive their Chromebook on the first day of school, the Technology Fee should be paid by Friday, August 22nd.
