Principal's Message
Thank you again to our incredible school community for the amazing welcome back this week. You really have made such an impact on our team. Thank you! The sidewalk chalk messages (picture above), treats, lunch, and all the support has energized our staff all week. Thank you!
Reminders:
Remembrance Day Ceremony: Due to a lack of planning time for this significant ceremony, we are needing to shift this year's ceremony to a virtual one. An announcement will be made throughout our building to ensure all classes participate in this important tribute to the brave men and women who have and continue to sacrifice to ensure our freedom and protect the values we hold dear. Families, if you can, please join the virtual presentation using the link here.
Picture Days: Our school photo days have been rescheduled to November 19 and 20. Our Kindergarten Everyday, KA and Grade 1 to 6 students will be on Wednesday, Nov. 19. Our PALS AM, PALS PM and Quest students will be on Thursday, Nov. 20.
Upcoming events:
We would like to let our families know of some important changes that we've had to make due to the time out of school that we've all just experienced.
October Awards Assembly
To allow students sufficient time to display our citizenship, French, and Literacy traits, our next assembly will be on Monday, Dec. 8. We will let you know which classes will be performing at a later time in the month of November.
Parent Teacher Interviews
We will be hosting Parent Teacher Interviews for our PALS, Quest, and Kindergarten to Gr. 6 French Immersion families on Monday, Dec. 1 and Wednesday, Dec. 3. For our students with an Individual Success Plans, we will have those ready by the end of November as well. To sign up for an interview time, you will receive an email on Monday, Nov. 24. The bookings will then be open until Friday, Nov. 28. we are trying to arrange a book fair for the event, but with the time constraints, we may not be able to do so. We will keep you updated as we know more.
Term 1 Report Cards
The Division has modified the report card schedule for this school year. We will have two report cards. The first one will be published on Wednesday, January 28, the second one will be published on June 23. As you can imagine, with the time out of school during the month of October, our division teachers are needing more time to gather quality evidence of your student's learning.
GRIZZmas Caroling!
Each year a great deal of work and time goes into preparing for, and running a concert. Mme Victoria has been putting on quality performances over the last few years that have required extra practices and time before and after school to plan and prepare for our big events. Due to the fact we are down to a mere three weeks of preparation, we simply will not be able to produce the same level of quality performances that we all have come to love. That said, our team still wants to provide an opportunity for our students and families to come together to celebrate the season! This year, we invite our families to join our students for an afternoon of GRIZZmas Caroling in our gym. The songs will all be familiar Christmas carols. During the caroling each class will have a chance to be featured by leading us in a carol. Parents and families, join us, if you can, and help us to fill our school with cheer!
Our caroling schedule is as follows:
- Grades 3 to 6 will carol on Tuesday, Dec. 9 from 1:15 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
- KE, KA and grades 1 and 2 will carol on Thursday, Dec. 11 from 1:15 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Thank you in advance for your understanding in the need to make some of these important shifts for this school year.
We wish everyone a great week!

School Council and Parent Fundraising Society Information
DID YOU KNOW?
One of the main purposes of the parent school council is to help lead a school community that supports our teachers. In these challenging times, your school council is committed to showing how much we value and appreciate the teachers at our school. It takes a village and you are all part of it.
Because as Dr. Jody Carrington says, if the big people aren't okay, the little ones don't stand a chance.
HOW DO WE DO THAT?
By doing the next best right kind thing.
With everyone doing one small act of kindness.
A quick email note, a thank you, a hot lunch, or an offer to lend a hand in a classroom one afternoon. Every kind gesture, no matter how small, is meaningful to our teachers. So check in with your child's teacher. They are so happy to be back in the classroom with our kids, but the circumstances are not okay.
Check It Out at the Library!
Lost Library/Home Reading Resources:
If your child loses a library or home reading book, please contact the school. If the book is not found within 30 days, the cost of the resource will be assigned to the “Fees” section of your PowerSchool account. Please note, if the book is found within 30 days, a refund will be granted. However, if the book is found after 30 days, a refund will not be granted as we will have purchased a replacement for the library’s collection.
Grizz Toques
Check out our Grizz Toques! The cost is $22.50. We have 3 options to choose from: grey, black and cream. Please contact the office if you would like to purchase. No cash please. We will add the fee to your parent portal account. Thank you.

Pay school fees online!
Wondering when and how to pay for school fees? School fee information for the 2025-26 school year will be posted on the PowerSchool Parent Portal in late September. All fees are due within 30 days of being posted. NOTE: Additional fees may be added throughout the year—for example, at the beginning of each semester, as your child takes part in various activities, or they may be adjusted by changes in selected optional courses in junior and senior high school. If you’re unable to pay your school fees, you can apply to have certain fees waived. The application deadline is Dec. 15, 2025.

Division Code of Conduct
EIPS has three administrative procedures (APs) that address the Division’s code of conduct:
· AP 311: Welcoming, Caring, Respectful and Safe Learning Environments for Students
· AP 350: Student Code of Conduct
· AP 351: Student Conduct on School Buses
The Division, and École Parc Élémentaire, are committed to ensuring all members of the school community are provided with welcoming, caring, respectful and safe learning environments that respect diversity and foster a sense of belonging. EIPS encourages all students, staff and families to review the procedures to understand and practice the conduct expected throughout the Division.
Video surveillance at schools and on buses
Did you know each EIPS bus is equipped with video surveillance, and many school sites have video monitoring equipment?
Video surveillance and equipment help:
· ensure the safety of all students, staff, drivers and property; and
· discourage destructive acts.
As needed, EIPS school administration and Student Transportation staff review video recordings, in accordance with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy (FOIP) Act. The recordings assist schools and the Division with monitoring student and driver conduct and may be used as evidence in a disciplinary matter.
For more information about the collection, use and disclosure of personal information, contact the EIPS FOIP Co-ordinator at 780-464-3477.
