Meet a Hubbs Community Partner!

This week we got to meet with Nancy Cohen, who works with Jewish Family Service! She works more specifically with employment services, helping people explore their career options. She says that the best job is one that matches your skills, interests, and needs. Nancy is open to helping any Hubbs student in all parts of getting a job: searching for one, resume writing, interview prep, and filling out applications. Nancy is at Hubbs on Tuesdays from 12-2pm but is willing to stay for individual appointments throughout the week as long as an appointment is made. She has worked within employment services for 14 years now and loves getting to know people! She enjoys hearing about individuals as well as their background and life experiences.

Outside of work, Nancy loves to explore different foods from around the world! She enjoys jazz music as well as reading, and she loves spending time with friends including her two dogs, Sparky and Tina, and her cat Kitty. A fun fact about Nancy is that she actually lived in France as a student.

The advice she has for students is to keep learning and continue your studies in all directions. Nancy also says to maintain your personal authenticity and be who you are!
