New Team Swag is Here!

Your new team swag is at the pool. Make sure to ask your coach to give it to you! If you need it mailed to you, let Coach Leslie know. Our swag was made by Mrs. Scott's students. We have a school based business called Ramtastic Goods that is run by special needs students. They loved making your t-shirts and bag tags.

Special Note from Coach Leslie

Greenville Splash is off to a great start for 2023! So many swimmers are enjoying the camaraderie of fun workouts and awesome coaching to stay fit and in shape. If you haven't been to a workout in awhile, we hope you stop by soon, you are missed.

Due to popular demand we are back to posting workouts every week on our website. These are the same workouts that we do at Greenville County Aquatic Complex from Coach Carolyn, Coach Leslie and Beth Cox. Thank you so much to Beth Cox for typing up all the workouts so we can post them for all to see. If you enjoy swimming on your own, make sure to check out our workouts. Click here for workouts:

New team swag is ready! Make sure to ask your coach at GCAC or the Kroc to give it to you. Our team shirts and bag tags were made by Ramtastic Goods a business run by special education students at Hillcrest High School.

This year we have a lot of events that are open for community service. We are planning to host a meet this summer, but I am in need of some help behind the scenes with meet planning and securing volunteers & officials. We are also in need of help with our Adult Learn to Swim Program, specifically with organizing and registering swimmers. Let me know if you are interested.

We are super excited to have four new coaches: Eric Woods, Rebecca Maccaroni, Pam Ogle and Mark Kothe. Rebecca brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise about triathlon training, endurance events and of course swimming! Rebecca will be coaching at the Kroc and GCAC. Pam will be coaching at GCAC primarily for the mid-morning group on Tuesday and Friday mornings from 8:00-10:30 am. Pam has an extensive background in swim coaching at the YMCA, summer league and teaching swim lessons. Eric has been teaching adult lessons for years at GCAC and coaches our Veteran Program. He is super excited to coach the evening group at GCAC. Mark has coached for Greenville Splash in the past, but is now back coaching at the Kroc. We are so fortunate to have such awesome coaches, come out and enjoy their passion and expertise. They are more than happy to help you meet your fitness goals.

Please continue to thank our team sponsors by buying their products! Come visit Alpine Ski to pick up a Dolfin swim suit and / or swim equipment. Show your bag tag and tell them you are with Greenville Splash to receive a 20% discount off swimwear and swim equipment. We are also excited to be working with Synergy Wetsuits. Click here to receive a discount code for Synergy.

Send Leslie results and pictures of your events for our next newsletter. Feel free to email Coach Leslie at greenvillesplash@gmail.com or give me a call if you need any help with anything: 864-283-1328.

Why Swimmers Should Be Doing Drills

Why Swimmers Should Be Doing Drills

As a swimmer, I love when the coach writes DRILL on the board. I know that I can focus on my technique without worrying about my speed. As a coach, even though I use drills in every workout, I don't always love watching my swimmers do them.

How to Swim a Mile Nonstop

Many people have said "never" when faced with the prospect of swimming a mile or more without stopping. Just because you haven't doesn't mean you can't. So, the question becomes, what's stopping you? As the saying goes: How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time.

Make a Difference

Thank you so much to all of our swimmers that volunteer for Greenville Splash! Your efforts help to make our community safer in the water and provide fitness and competition activities for swimmers. We host three big events every year: The Greenville Splash Invitational LCM Swim Meet, The Upstate Splash Charity Open Water Swim, and Adult Learn to Swim. We have taught over 350 adults how to swim! The Upstate Splash has raised money to provide swim lessons for over 3,400 children! We are proud to be a team that gives back to our community!
