Eagle Lake FUND RUN Information
The Fund Run is Coming Soon! October 18th!!!
Good morning, Eagle Lake Elementary Families!
Our Fund Run is Wednesday, October 18th. We need your help to reach our goal. Our school goal this year is to raise over $15,000.00. To reach the goal, each student would need to raise $50.00. Each time a student raises $50.00 their name goes into a raffle where they can win some really awesome prizes. If everyone in the classroom raises $50.00, that class will get to celebrate with a class popcorn party!
Our student council decided on our special celebration days when we hit our all school goals.
We will have special days when we hit the following increments:
$2,000 Mismatch/backward day
$4,000 Stuffy/fort day
$6,000 Technology day
$8,000 Extra recess
$10,000 Outside play day
$12,000 Donut day
$14,000 Scavenger hunt
$15,000 Dance party
Anything over $15,000 and Mr. Hansen has to spend the entire day as a student!
Parents and family are able to come watch the Fund Run. We ask that parents arrive when it is their child's turn to run.

Student Celebrations
We are trying to build Student Celebrations into our school day when we can. We have high
expectations for all of our students academically and behaviorally. Our students are doing a great job SOARing in our school.
Show Responsibility
On Task Behavior
Act Safely
Respect Others and Property
When students consistently show SOARing behavior we celebrate our accomplishments together! We are having some great Dance Parties, Maker-Space Time, and we also have a Student Run School Store for students to cash in their SOAR Slips.

Notes from the Music room!
We started the school year reading the book Change Sings by Amanda Gorman. Each student at our school colored a guitar and wrote or drew on the guitar neck one (or more) thing they could do to make a positive difference in someone’s life this year. They are up in the hallway by the music room for you to see at conferences in November.
The focus of music learning is singing, playing instruments, reading both melody and rhythm as well as utilizing movement as a tool for musical learning. The goal is to have students speak, sing, move and play as we learn new music concepts.
Our concerts will reflect a lot of what we are learning in music class. They will incorporate singing as well as instruments and occasionally we may have a dance or two to highlight the form of the piece.
Our first concert will be coming up on December 15th and will be performed by 1st, 3rd, and 5th grade students!
Times will be announced when we get closer to the actual date, but there will be one in the morning and one in the afternoon.
In addition, change is coming as I am getting married!
So students will be adjusting to my name change next week!
I am excited for the year ahead and the music that we will be creating as a class as well as sharing with parents at our concert!
