A Word from your Principals:
Dear Tombaugh Families:
Happy New Year! I hope this message finds you refreshed and ready to embark on another wonderful year of learning, growth, and connection. As we step into 2025, I want to express my gratitude for your partnership in supporting our students' success.
This year, we look forward to continuing to create a positive and nurturing environment where every child can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Together, we will make this year one of curiosity, discovery, and joyful learning for our school community.
Thank you for your trust, collaboration, and dedication to making Tombaugh a special place for our students. Wishing you and your family a happy, healthy, and prosperous New Year!
Warm regards,

LOST & FOUND ITEMS
Parents -
We need your help! You are welcome to come in and look over these items if your child is missing something. Students have the opportunity to look through these items daily!
Breakfast Change
Starting Tuesday, January 7th, students will be provided a hot breakfast in the cafeteria between 7:30 a.m.-7:50 a.m. Breakfast will no longer be offered in the classrooms to support our cafeteria in providing a HOT nutritious Breakfast! Once they finish breakfast, they will be allowed to play outside (or report to class on inclement weather days). The bell will ring at 7:50 a.m., and students will report to their classrooms.
Thank you!
School T-Shirt Days
Thursday is our College Shirt Day!
Friday is our School Shirt Day!
Middle of the Year Testing
Middle of the Year Testing will continue through the month of January. It is so important for your child to be at school everyday and on time to help us meet District and State testing deadlines. Please communicate with your child's teacher if you anticipate your child missing any school so we can adequately prepare. Thank you!
Attendance Matters
Attendance for Success
Across the country, more than 8 million students are missing so many days of school that they are academically at risk. Chronic absence — missing 10 percent or more of school days due to absence for any reason—excused, unexcused absences and suspensions, can translate into third-graders unable to master reading, sixth-graders failing subjects and ninth-graders dropping out of high school.
Student Handbook Spotlight
Our Student Handbook has been provided to all students. Complete Student Handbook can be found below. We will highlight an area of focus each month on our Parent Newsletter.
