Dear Garfield Families,

I want to share an important reminder about caring for personal belongings on campus. Last week, two scooters were unfortunately stolen after being left unlocked. We have notified Clovis Unified Police and are following their guidance. In the meantime, this serves as a good opportunity for all of us to reinforce safe habits with our students. Our officers recommend using a physical lock for bikes and scooters, as these are more reliable than locking apps on phones. Thank you for partnering with us in helping keep our campus safe and secure.

In other campus news, we are excited to continue our beautification efforts. On Tuesday, January 27th, our grounds crew will be planting small bushes in the main parking lot. As a result, half of the Garfield visitor lot (the first lot to the right when entering the main lot) will be roped off for equipment. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your flexibility in using alternate parking options, such as the church parking lot or street parking on Peach Ave.. Thank you for your continued support in keeping our school safe, welcoming, and well cared for.

With warm regards,

Methinee Bozeman
