SEPTEMBER 22nd
Eagle Family Memo

Our Principals' Press
What an incredible week! We loved welcoming our Audubon grandparents and special visitors for Grandparents' Breakfast. The kids were thrilled to share a meal with their loved ones. On Thursday, families explored students' flight trackers, enjoyed dinner, emptied their wallets at the Book Fair, and participated in fun family activities
.
A big thanks goes out to our Cafeteria Staff for the delicious meals, Mrs. Allen (Library-Media Specialist) and volunteers for hosting the Book Fair, Mrs. Kelly May (Family Resource Center Coordinator) for planning Eagle Family Night, and our staff for making Family Week a success.
And thank YOU for supporting your children and our Audubon Family! We appreciate your partnership!

Energy Bus for Kids
In the Monday Morning Assembly last week, Mrs. Velotta focused on Rule #3: No Bullies Allowed! This week, we're moving onto Rule #4: Love your Passengers. At Audubon, we teach students about Empathy. This is a perfect Guideline for Success to wrap into rule # 4.
Ask your child about this at home and see if Rule #4 carries over to life outside of school.

What is PBIS?
The Zones of Regulation is a tool we use in school to help students identify and manage their emotions. It groups feelings into four color-coded zones: Blue (sad, tired, or bored), Green (calm and ready to learn), Yellow (frustrated, anxious, or excited), and Red (angry, out of control). By recognizing which zone they’re in, students can learn strategies to manage their emotions and return to the Green Zone. Parents can use the Zones at home by helping children label their emotions and encouraging calming activities, like deep breathing or taking a break, to manage difficult feelings.
