McCullough Family Update
September 27, 2026
Good Evening Mustang Families,
We are excited to welcome our Mustangs back for another great week at McCullough! As we continue building momentum and moving deeper into the school year, we are proud to see our students becoming more confident in their routines, strengthening relationships, and continuing to grow as learners each day. Tomorrow is McCullough Monday, so we encourage all of our Mustangs to wear their favorite McCullough gear and start the week showing their Mustang pride!
This week, we encourage our students to continue making choices that reflect PRIDE, staying focused on their goals, and taking ownership of their success. Every day is another opportunity to learn, grow, and demonstrate what it means to be a Mustang.
Let’s have another amazing week as we continue to be Champions for Every Student! Please take a few moments to review this week’s Family Update for important information, reminders, and upcoming events happening at McCullough.

Through our Weekend Backpack Program, participating students receive a bag of food items to take home each week to help provide additional support over the weekend. Families who would like their student to participate are encouraged to contact Mr. James Thomas, our Communities In Schools Site Coordinator, at James.Thomas@colonial.k12.de.us or 302-429-4000. Marking Period 1 Interim Grades
The Marking Period 1 interim window will close on Friday, October 2nd. Families should be on the lookout for their student’s interim grades to be posted in the Infinite Campus Parent Portal within the next week and a half. Once interim grades have been posted, we encourage families to review them with their student, celebrate areas of success, and identify any areas where additional focus or support may be needed. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your child’s progress or grades, please reach out directly to your child’s teacher. We value the partnership between home and school as we work together to support the success of every Mustang!
Let's have an amazing week as a school community, and remember MUSTANGS RUN TOGETHER!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Hyacinth Lewis, Principal
