Hope you're staying cozy, well-fed, and enjoying the snow days! Obviously our weekly calendar is subject to change, and we should continue to check emails and social media for updates. Here is a reminder of our Inclement Weather Plan. In the event of Catch-Up Days, interdisciplinary teams should coordinate (and all certified staff join) a Google Meet on Google Classroom from 11-12:00 in case students want to connect or have questions about missing assignments. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you need anything this week.

Professional Development Requirements

Springdale requires certified staff to complete 60 hours of professional development yearly.
Teachers need to enter their own professional development hours into the reporting system. You can log PD that takes place during or outside of contracted time. You can also log 9 hours for Huddle Staff Meetings.
Linked in the Dashboard, I have created a set of slides that walks you through required PD and instructions for reporting Back-to-School Week PD hours.

The state requirement this year is Mandated Reporter training (here is overview of requirement rotations each year).
Make sure you also completed the district Cybersecurity training.

Evidence of PD hours is part of the May checkout process, but the district will want you to work on the online PD if we have any inclement weather "catch up" days, so it's good to take care of it in advance!

SOUPer Bowl

Sign-up link for February 6th event! Teams collaborate on a soup/chili/stew that connects with their NFL team. Prizes for best soup and team spirit! All can participate in the tasting, and baked potatoes and salad will be provided for lunch for a small fee. More details to come.
