Celebrating our 8th Graders

Today, we celebrated our 8th graders by holding an 8th grade assembly (where some students received special awards); we provided social time in the Commons for our 8th graders as they received gifts from the Boosters and got their yearbooks (if they purchased one); and then walked to the high school to prepare for their future.

We have a few more events to celebrate our 8th graders:

Friday, June 13

  • Bobcatpalooza during 8th grader’s Encore time at the end of the day, 12:30-2:20

Tuesday, June 17

  • 8th grade Tributes will be mailed home to each 8th grader.

THANK YOU to our Booster parents who purchased 8th grade gifts for each 8th grader!!! We couldn’t do it without our Boosters!

Congratulations, Class of 2029! We are so proud of you!

Bobcatpalooza, June 13

Bobcatpalooza is our end of the year field day where we celebrate all of our students! Instead of going to Encore classes on June 13, each grade level will go to Bobcatpalooza where the following activities will be provided: indoor and outdoor sports/activities, time to socialize with peers, karaoke, art, computers music, and FREE snacks provided by our Booster parents. 8th grade students who purchased yearbooks were given their yearbooks today. Yearbooks will be handed out to 6th and 7th graders on June 13 to those who purchased one.

If you want to learn more about…

  • the schedule: we reverse class periods on this day since Bobcatpalooza occurs in students’ Encore classes and 8th graders want to have Bobcatpalooza at the end of the day

  • expectations for Bobcatpalooza

  • learn about expectations for yearbooks

…. then please read this document.

Chromebooks

All 6th, 7th and 8th grade students will keep their chromebooks over the summer. Every chromebook comes with a charger and a chromebook protective case.
