Dear Families,

Welcome back! I hope your spring break was filled with rest, fun, and meaningful time with loved ones. As we return, there's a wonderful sense of energy and anticipation in the air—spring is in full swing, and we are ready for an exciting and memorable final stretch of the school year.

This past week, we had the pleasure of welcoming our Incoming Kindergarten families during our Kindergarten Orientation. It was such a joy to meet new families, share what makes our school so special, and begin building the important home-school connection that supports each child’s success. At the same time, our current Kindergarten students enjoyed a fantastic field trip to Tower Hill Botanic Garden, where they explored nature and learned through hands-on experiences—what a great way to kick off spring!

Looking ahead, we’re preparing for MCAS Math, which is just around the corner. Our students have been working hard all year, and we’re confident they’ll be ready to show their growth. We’re especially proud of their effort and focus.

We’re also looking forward to several beloved end-of-year traditions, including Grade 4 Biography Day, where students will bring historical figures to life through research, creativity, and presentation. It's always an inspiring event for students, staff, and families alike.

And that’s just the beginning! The coming weeks are filled with concerts, field trips, classroom celebrations, and community events that highlight how much our students have learned and grown this year.

Thank you, as always, for your support and partnership. Let’s make these last weeks of the school year full of pride, joy, and lasting memories.

Warmly,
Troy
Principal

School Attendance

We are entering the final 12 weeks of the school year! As we approach the finish line, we want to take a moment to stress the importance of consistent attendance and arriving on time each day.

These last weeks of school are critical—not just for academic progress, but also for strengthening friendships, building confidence, and preparing for a successful transition to the next grade level. Every lesson, discussion, and activity plays a role in helping students finish the year strong.

I understand that mornings can be hectic, and unexpected challenges arise. Please know that we see and appreciate all the effort you put into getting your child to school each day. At the same time, I encourage all families to make school attendance a top priority in these final weeks.

Here’s why it matters:

✅ Academic Growth – Each day of instruction builds on the last. Missing even a few days can make it harder for students to keep up, especially as we wrap up key concepts.

✅ Social-Emotional Development – School isn’t just about learning—it’s also about feeling connected. Attending regularly helps students maintain friendships, feel part of the school community, and end the year on a positive note.

✅ Building Strong Habits for the Future – The routines we reinforce now—showing up on time, being responsible, and staying committed—set the stage for lifelong success.

If you’re facing any challenges with attendance, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re here to support you in any way we can. Let’s make these last 12 weeks count!

POINT OF PRIDE

This past week began in the best way possible—with a whole-school assembly led by our wonderful 1st grade team of teachers and students. These gatherings are more than just an event on the calendar—they are a cherished opportunity for us to come together as one school community, to connect, reflect, and celebrate what it means to belong.

Our assemblies are grounded in the belief that every child, every staff member, and every voice matters. Each one centers around a theme that helps us grow not only as learners, but as kind, compassionate, and thoughtful individuals. This week’s theme was “TEAMWORK”, and our 1st graders truly set the tone for the rest of the school.

With confidence, creativity, and care, our youngest students reminded us that teamwork is not just about working side by side—it’s about lifting each other up, listening, sharing ideas, and achieving something greater together than we could alone. Whether it’s in the classroom, on the playground, or during a project, teamwork is what helps our community thrive.

It was heartwarming to see the pride on our 1st graders’ faces as they shared their learning and showed us what teamwork looks and feels like in action. A big thank you to the 1st grade teachers for guiding them with such dedication and love, and for creating an experience that inspired us all.

As we move through the rest of the year, let’s carry this message forward—supporting one another, celebrating each other’s strengths, and remembering that we are truly better together.

Well done, 1st Grade—we are so proud of you!
