🌸🌞 Spring Break! 🌞🌸
As we begin the much-awaited Spring Break, I wanted to take a moment to extend my warmest wishes for a restful and rejuvenating time with your loved ones. Whether you're planning an adventure-filled getaway or a cozy staycation, I hope this break brings endless moments of joy and relaxation.
As always, students are encouraged to use this time to recharge their batteries, explore new hobbies, and create cherished memories with family and friends. While the break is a time for fun and relaxation, let's also take a moment to reflect on the beauty of nature blooming around us and the countless blessings in our lives.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership in your child's education journey. I can't wait to welcome our students back refreshed and ready for an exciting continuation of learning.
Wishing you all a safe, happy, and memorable Spring Break!
-Dr. Willis

Classroom Celebrations
OUSD is delighted to help support all classroom celebrations within our district. Classroom celebrations must meet the federal guidelines for our Smart Snack-approved program.
We offer a variety of nutritionally dense snack items that can be purchased through our cafeteria. From cookies and crackers to ice cream bars and juice boxes. For pricing on these items please contact Nelly in our cafeteria.
In addition to these items, we also provide free pizza parties for classroom celebrations in place of the student's regular lunch. For more information please contact Nelly in the cafeteria 2 weeks prior to your celebration.
OUSD Chain of Communication
We know there are times when issues come up that need to be resolved. OUSD has created a chain of communication that allows for an efficient resolution process. This is now located on our school’s website under “Our School” called Chain of Communication
Blackboard Communication Platform
OUSD messages families using a platform called Blackboard Communications. This allows teachers and staff to send an email, text or voice message directly to the email address or phone number you have listed in Aeries. You no longer need to download any third party apps to receive messages from OUSD. The only district supported app that families should download is the OUSD app. It’s important that all the adults in your student’s life have updated contact information in Aeries so everyone can receive important messages from your student’s school.
