ASVAB Testing for sophomores

On October 19 all sophomores will be participating in ASVAB testing in the high school gym. Data from this testing can provide students with feedback on possible careers that match his/her interest and skill set. Sophomore scores can not be used for military entrance but it can provide students who are interested in a military career what branch he/she could qualify for and potential jobs associated with that score.

The National Guard will be here October 11 to brief sophomores on what to expect on test day and ways he/she can prepare for the test.

THANK YOU to Mr. Jason Mayberry of Texas County Memorial Hospital for giving a presentation to Ms. Lindsey Vermillion’s high school health classes on the warning signs of strokes and the procedures the hospital performs when a stroke patient comes into the emergency room. He also talked about the different parts of the brain and the functions of those parts.

We appreciate you sharing your wisdom with our students and partnering with the school district!
