Sunset Heights Care Coupons
Celebrating Kindness and Reading!
This week, we were excited to recognize students who earned a Sunset Cares coupon for their positive actions and kindness. These students were acknowledged over the intercom, and their names were entered into a special drawing for a chance to win a book from our book vending machine! Many lucky students went home today with a brand-new book to enjoy.
We look forward to celebrating these wonderful moments each month—encouraging caring, kindness, and a love of reading in our school community!
Community Support Options
I hope this message finds you well. I want to take a moment to share some valuable resources available to our community that can help with food needs.
The Nashua Soup Kitchen offers a food pantry open Monday to Friday, as well as the 3rd Sunday of each month. They also provide hot breakfast and dinner Monday through Friday, along with a noon meal on weekends and holidays at their location, 2 Quincy St. More information can be found here: https://nsks.org/pantry-services/
The Corpus Christi Food Pantry is available for pantry food on Monday and Wednesday mornings, and Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. Access to the food pantry is by appointment by calling 603-882-6372. Or filling out an email request here: https://corpuschristifoodpantry.org/?page_id=1914
The Salvation Army Food Pantry operates Monday to Friday from 9 AM to noon. No appointment needed.
Additionally, food bags (non-perishable) can be picked up at The Nashua Public Library. You can visit the library (2 Court St, Nashua) and ask at the main desk for a food bag. There’s no need for a library card or ID—just food.
Sunset Heights Assistance: Non-perishable food bags and/or frozen meals can also be sent home weekly with students. If this is something that could be helpful to your family, please reach out to our school counselor: MaryBeth Thompson, 603-966-3686, thompsonma@nashua.edu
In addition, local markets and restaurants have started posting ways they can assist families starting in November. The Facebook page "Southern NH Emergency & Community Alerts" has been posting those resources as they hear of any.

Ways to Help Others
Coats for Kids and Families
We are collecting gently worn, warm winter coats for both adults and children. Anton's cleaners cleans the coats and they are given out to those in need. You can drop coats off here at school. If you have any questions please reach out to Mrs. Thompson.
Thanksgiving Food Drive
(To benefit The Nashua Soup Kitchen)
Donations may be brought to school between November 3rd and November 18th.
The following items are most needed, at this time, at The Nashua Soup Kitchen: boxes of cereal, canned vegetables, sugar, salt & pepper, marshmallows, hot chocolate, cooking spices and canned pumpkin.
If you are able to, please consider helping us with this food drive. Thank you so much!
