A Note from Mrs. Mathe
This morning, we kicked off our Spring Watch D.O.G.S. sign-up with a donut breakfast. Thank you to our Cheer Squad for sharing a special cheer, and to all of our father figures who joined us to sign up to be a Watch D.O.G. on our campus!
I also wanted to make sure everyone received the message from the district today regarding school on Monday:
"Out of an abundance of caution due to forecasted weather conditions this weekend, all Conroe ISD campuses and offices will be closed on Monday, January 26, 2026.
The weather may impact areas differently across our 348-square-mile district. Please take necessary precautions, remain weather aware, and stay safe this weekend."Friday Highlight Video

Student Spotlight
We are excited to introduce a new section in The Hines Herald called Student Spotlight! This feature will celebrate the amazing achievements, acts of kindness, and positive contributions of our Huskies both inside and outside of school. In this section, we will highlight students who have gone above and beyond—whether it’s reaching a personal goal, helping others, or making a difference in the community. We can’t wait to share these inspiring stories and honor the incredible ways our students shine!

Transportation Change Reminders
As we move into the middle of the school year, here are a few reminders regarding transportation changes:
If you need to change your child’s transportation from their typical way home for one day only, please notify the school before 2:00 p.m. by submitting a transportation change through the Transportation Change App in your Parent Portal (how to instructions below).
For permanent changes or changes lasting multiple days, please continue to email contacthines@conroeisd.net. You may copy your child’s teacher; however, teachers are not always able to check email prior to dismissal, so be sure to include contacthines@conroeisd.net to ensure the change is received.
Transportation change emails should include the following:
-
Child’s first and last name
-
Teacher and grade
-
How your child will go home (including specific biker/walker location, if applicable)
-
Duration of the change (one day, multiple days, or permanent)
-
The email must be sent from the guardian email address on file, or a photo of your ID must be included
The front office will email you to confirm once the transportation change has been received, either through the app or by email. Thank you for your help in keeping dismissal safe and organized.
