Superintendent Update
Windham School District | November
Friday, February 2, 2024
Dear Parents/Guardians:
Welcome to February! Was it just me, or did January feel slightly longer than usual this year? The bright side is, Punxsutawney Phil didn't spot his shadow which signals a prediction of an early spring arrival. While we eagerly anticipate warmer days, I'm personally embracing the season upon us to recharge and prepare for the vibrant energy that spring promises. Below are a few district highlights for this week.
Deliberative Session: The Deliberative Session will be held in the High School auditorium on Monday, February 5, at 7 p.m. It will be open to the public, and the proposed warrant articles will be discussed. We hope to see you there. The public School Board meeting will be held immediately following.
Annie Jr. Production: I wanted to congratulate the Windham Center School students on a successful production of Annie Jr. This production had a cast and crew of 82 students. Students began rehearsals in October and were hard at work learning lines, music, and choreography, as well as building props and planning sets behind the scenes. Everyone did a great job. Bravo!
Next week, we will start our mid-year school-based spotlights. Each week, we will highlight a school with student and staff accomplishments. Stay tuned!
With sincere gratitude,
Dr. Kori Alice Becht
