St. Mark Weekly Update
St. Mark Weekly Update - 16 September 2026
Welcome to St. Mark's Weekly Update!
It is hard to believe that a week has already gone! It has been busy.
Thank you to all the families that joined us for Meet the Teacher and the opening bbq. It was a delight to get to meet new families and reacquaint with our returning families. We also want to give a shout-out to St. Joseph High School Culinary team who put together the hamburgers for our dinner. They were delicious! 😋
Today, we welcomed our new students and staff to St. Mark school. The grade 9A and Mr. Ferzli hosted a beautiful celebration on our division theme, Rooted in Joy. Mr. Ferzli reminded us love does not come without joy and joy does not come without love. He challenged us to remember this as we journey together through this school year. Joining the celebration was members of our Praise Band and our new students were introduced to the school in a slide presentation.
With the start of ECSD Sports and games, we want to take this opportunity to share the "rules" regarding spectators and fans during league play. Unless there are St. Mark staff available to supervise, fans MUST have a family member, 18 years of age or older, accompany them and stay with them for the duration of the game. This includes our school field for outdoor games such as soccer.
Our coaches volunteer their time and are not expected to be supervising students while coaching. Similarly, our teachers volunteer their time to supervise fans. If a staff member volunteers to supervise, we will announce to students supervision will be available and invite them to watch the game in a respectful manner.
Wishing you a blessed week.
