Ms. Hobden’s Kaufman FFA Floral Design students put their creativity and classroom skills to work, creating 30 centerpieces and four vase arrangements for the Kaufman Education Foundation Gala.

Students spent the school day Friday carefully designing, arranging, and adding the finishing touches to each piece. This project gave them valuable real-world experience while bringing beauty and a festive touch to the event.

A special thank-you to Ms. Hobden and our Floral Design students for sharing their talents in support of our students and district.

Our Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) students began their clinical rotations this week, taking an important step from classroom learning to hands-on experience in a healthcare setting.

Under the guidance of Mrs. Deyanira Rocha, KHS CNA and Medical Terminology teacher, students are putting the knowledge and skills they’ve learned in class into practice. Clinical rotations give students the opportunity to connect their coursework with patient care while developing confidence, professionalism and a deeper understanding of healthcare careers.

The Spanish Club brought Mexican culture to life by creating a Día de los Muertos altar in the school library. The display celebrates the meaningful tradition of remembering and honoring loved ones who have passed away. The community is welcome to contribute to the display, helping make it a shared tribute to those we remember.

Club members also filled thank-you bags for faculty and staff, showing appreciation for those who support students each day.

Sponsored by Ms. Montez and Mrs. Yescas, the Spanish Club is celebrating culture and spreading kindness throughout KHS.

Our Lions brought plenty of spirit to the Pink Out pep rally and football game, then shared that pride with some of Kaufman’s youngest fans last week.

KHS football players and cheerleaders were up bright and early Friday morning for a Roar Rally at Monday Primary Elementary. They spent time with our little Lions and performed a pep rally, bringing excitement and smiles to the school day.

KHS Cheer is sponsored by Mrs. Landy Hetmer and Mrs. Three Helzer.

We’re proud of these students for giving their time to make our little Lions feel special. Their kindness and school spirit show what it means to care for our community!

Members of the Creative Lions Club got into the Halloween spirit by making pipe cleaner ghosts. Ready to get creative? Sign up during intervention to join Mrs. Donaldson and Mrs. Yescas every Wednesday in Room 149.

Congratulations to this week’s Students of the Week! Mrs. Jennifer Webb, Associate Principal, presented the honors to:

• 12th Grade: Daria Muruato

• 11th Grade: Mauricio Montoya

• 10th Grade: Konner Reed

• 9th Grade: Mariah Torrez

Get ready for an exciting Thursday at KHS! On Thursday, November 5, we’ll show our Lion Pride at our Neon Pep Rally and then cheer on the Kaufman Lions as they take on Ferris at our home football game.

• Pep Rally Visitors: Please pre-register using the Visitor Pep Rally Pre-Check Form.

The Prom Committee will be selling tickets during lunches every Friday beginning this week through Christmas break. Tickets are currently $75, and prices will increase after Christmas.
