#2 PTA Updates #2 PTA Updates

❀️ PTA UPDATE: WHAT A GREAT START TO THE SCHOOL YEAR! 🀍

The St. Clairsville Elementary PTA has kicked off the school year in a BIG way! Between our Fun Run and our 2nd Annual Fall Craft & Vendor Show, we have already had two wonderful eventsβ€”and none of it would have been possible without YOU!

We want to extend a huge THANK YOU to every PTA member and volunteer who donated items, gave their time, helped behind the scenes, supported our fundraisers, shared our posts, sponsored our events, or simply showed up to cheer us on.

It truly takes a village, and we are so grateful for ours!

πŸƒ FUN RUN FUNDS ARE ALREADY AT WORK!

Our Fun Run was an incredible success, and we are excited to share how those funds are already making their way back to our students, teachers, classrooms, and school!

Each grade level earned a percentage of the funds raised by their grade to be placed directly into their grade-level account. These funds can be used throughout the school year to help support grade-specific needs, activities, field trips, and more.

And one of our biggest Fun Run goals is officially becoming a reality...

πŸ› A NEW SWING SET IS COMING!

The PTA has officially purchased the new swing set for our lower playground!

We are also incredibly grateful to Miller Excavating, who has generously offered to partner with us and help with the installation of the new equipment. We cannot thank them enough for continuing to support our Little Red Devils!

We will share more information as soon as we know delivery dates and installation details. We can't wait to see our students enjoying it!

The PTA has also purchased new basketballs, kickballs, and other playground toys and equipment to replace many of the old and well-loved items currently being used by our students.

🌟 OUR VISION FOR THE LOWER PLAYGROUND

And we're not stopping with the swing set!

One of our PTA's goals moving forward is to use the success of our annual Fun Run to continue improving and updating the lower playground year after year.

Having a bigger vision gives us something exciting to work toward together! Each year, we hope to identify another area of the playground that could use some love and make it part of our Fun Run goal.

By planning ahead and sharing that vision with our families and community, we hope everyone can see exactly what we're working toward and why we're fundraising. When our students, families, sponsors, and community know the end goal, we believe we can make each year's Fun Run even more excitingβ€”and hopefully even more successful!

The new swing set is a wonderful first step, and we are excited to see what we can accomplish together in the years ahead. Little by little, Fun Run by Fun Run, we hope to give our Little Red Devils a playground they can enjoy for many years to come! ❀️

❀️ WHERE DO THE REST OF THE FUN RUN FUNDS GO?

We believe it is important for our families to know how PTA fundraising dollars are being used.

After our Fun Run commitments and grade-level allocations, the remaining funds will be divided between our Principal, Ms. Galloway's school funds and the PTA account and earmarked to help us continue supporting our school into next year.

Our goal is simple: to use the money we raise to give back to our students, teachers, staff, classrooms, and school.

Whenever possible, we hope PTA funding can help cover experiences, supplies, celebrations, field trips, and other needs so there are fewer times throughout the year when families are asked to send additional money.

✏️ YOUR PTA DOLLARS ARE ALREADY MAKING A DIFFERENCE!

We're only getting started, and PTA has already been able to support:

  • 🍦 Dairy Queen gift cards for Mrs. Terlesky's 2nd grade class for winning September's Attendance Awareness Month!

  • 🎢 Recorders for Mr. Trio's 3rd and 4th grade music classes!

  • 🚌 1st Grade Field Trip to Springhouse Farms!

  • 🦌 2nd Grade Field Trip to Deerassic Park!

  • πŸ•πŸΏ Pizza and popcorn parties for our Fun Run prize-wheel winning students and classrooms!

  • πŸ› A brand-new swing set for the lower playground!

  • πŸ€ New playground equipment, including basketballs, kickballs, and other toys!

And there is so much more to come!

Every fundraiser you support, every event you attend, every hour you volunteer, and every donation you make helps us say YES when our school has a need. ❀️

πŸŽ„ WHAT'S NEXT? CHRISTMAS!

After a very busy start to the year, we're already looking ahead to our next big thing... CHRISTMAS! πŸŽ…πŸŽ„

Our next PTA meeting will be announced soon as we work to find a date that works best for our group. We plan to recap our Fun Run and Craft & Vendor Show, talk about what we've accomplished so far, and start planning all the fun ahead for the Christmas season!

And remember...

⭐ IT'S NEVER TOO LATE TO JOIN THE PTA! ⭐

If you've been thinking about getting involved, come join us!

Being involved in your child's school doesn't have to feel like another obligation. It can be FUN! It's a chance to meet other families, spend a little extra time around your kiddos and their school, help create special memories, and have a voice in what we do next.

Whether you can volunteer once a year or you're ready to jump in with both feet, there is a place for you in our PTA.

Watch for details about our next meeting and come be part of the conversation, the planning, andβ€”most importantlyβ€”the FUN!

Thank you, St. C families, staff, volunteers, sponsors, and community. We couldn't do any of this without you! ❀️🀍🩢

πŸŽƒ Bringing Stories to Life

Our first graders had so much fun transforming pumpkins into characters from their favorite stories! This favorite annual project sparks creativity, imagination, and excitement for reading while creating a wonderful home-school connection. It’s always one of my favorite projects to look forward to each year, and I love seeing the unique personalities and creativity that shine through every pumpkin! πŸŽƒβœ¨

Happy Custodians' Day

Last week, we celebrated the amazing people who work behind the scenes each day to keep St. Clairsville Elementary clean, safe, welcoming, and ready for our students and staff!

A very special thank you to Mr. Doug, our day-shift custodian, and Mr. Wes and Ms. Brandie, our afternoon custodians. We appreciate the care, hard work, and pride you bring to our school every single day.

From keeping our classrooms and hallways sparkling to taking care of all the little things that often go unnoticed, you help make STC a better place for everyone. We are so grateful for each of you and all that you do for our Red Devil family!

Happy Custodians’ Day, Doug, Wes, and Brandie! We appreciate you more than you know! ❀️🩢
