We’ve already kicked off student book checkout for 2nd-5th grade, and PK-1st grade will be joining us soon! This year, we’re making a big push to help our students discover a love of reading. Students are always welcome to visit the library and discover new books to enjoy. Our big goal for this year is 30,000 checkouts! Let’s watch those numbers grow and see how many treasures our Wolves can discover along the way!

This year, as we Sail into Greatness Together, we're excited to launch our new Discover the Treasure of Reading program!

Throughout the school year, any staff member may reward students with a Treasure Ticket when they are spotted reading independently—whether it's in the hallway, before school, during recess, in the cafeteria, or anywhere around campus. Students bring their Treasure Ticket to the library to receive a small prize and be entered into our weekly grade-level Treasure Drawing.

There is no limit to how many Treasure Tickets a student can earn. Every book is a new adventure, and every reading moment is a chance to discover something amazing!

Our hallway display will feature a treasure chest for each grade level, filling with gold coins throughout the year as students continue to discover the treasure found in books.

This new initiative will be kicking off for all K-5th grade students on Monday, August 31st.

If your student still has a library book at home from last school year, it’s not too late to return it! We are still accepting all books that were checked out last year. Please take a moment to check bookshelves, backpacks, bedrooms, and anywhere else a lost book may be hiding. No matter how long the book has been at home, we would love to have it back in the library. Every returned book helps us make sure our students have plenty of great books to discover and enjoy this year!
